• 

  Step 1

  Gather your materials together. Note: I couldn’t find gems that were meant for clothing that I liked, so I went to the sticker aisle in Micheal’s and found these.

  The upside is since they were stickers, you'll be able to lay out the pattern on the hat to see what it would look like without any consequences.

  Step 2

  Start with a starburst cluster in the center of the hat.

  Step 3

  Build onto the cluster and add more gems.

• 

  Step 4

  Continue adding until you've covered the hat from side to side.

• 

  Step 5

  Now add some gems on the bill of the cap.

• 

  Step 6

  Add some more.

• 

  Step 7

  Be sure to fill in all the spaces, but don't over do it.

• 

  Step 8

  Add some little gems around the edges.
  Once you're happy with the pattern on the hat go back and used super glue to keep the gems in place. Or you can super glue as you go.

  Step 9

  Here's a second version of a the embellished baseball cap.

  Step 10

  This design is just a straight solid strip of gems across the face of the cap. Use a ribbon or headband to measure how thick you want it to be.

  Step 11

  Place gems across the cap.

• 

  Step 12

  Fill in the spaces in between with more gems, large and small.
