  • How to create a face painting. Edward Scissorhands - Step 1
    Step 1

First thing I did was make the "scars".
This is a deep "gash" one. I made a thick line with the eyelash glue and then kind of scraped the middle of it with a cotton swab.

    Step 2

This is one of the "regular scars". All I did was draw it on and cleaned it up with a toothpick while it was still wet.

Next I "concealed" my eyebrows with glue (Instructions on Queen Grimhilde (Evil Queen From Snow White) Makeup post).
Lightly powder face then cover with pale foundation, powder again.

Shade underneath your eyes with a light brown eyeshadow.

    Step 5

With a medium shade of purple you're going to want to make a triangle shape from your the beginning of your eyebrow, closest to your eye(on top of it and slightly over it) down to your lid.

    Step 6

Now in a darker purple, still keeping the triangular shape, go over the entire eyebrow down to just underneath your crease (not on lid),inside the eyes and down the sides of your nose. I also shaded my nostrils just because my nose is completely different than his, just to give the illusion of a thin nose.

Next, using a lip brush, go over your lips with a dark purple;I used Wet n' Wild Mega Last Lip color in 916D Ravin' Raisin. Make sure to make your lip shape angular and small, especially the bottom lip, it isn't completely covered, be messy!

    Step 8

Using a medium/dark brown eyeshadow, go in and shade the sides of your "scars" just to give them a little depth. Blend!
