 <  Image 1 of 9  >

Unique and easy vintage inspired halter any questions just ask! Lots of pictures if you click next on the main picture.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this could be done with a regular long sleeve shirt two, just cut rectangles of fabric out to use in place of the collar.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Take a long sleeve polo shirt and turn it into a cute summer halter!
I forgot to take a picture of my white one before I cut it so I took a picture of this one, someone gave me this from Hollister, but you can find them at any thrift store, you just need long sleeves for straps and a collar for the detail on the neck.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Trace a sweetheart neckline starting at the bottom of the row of buttons.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Cut just outside the lines you traced cutting straight across when you reach the back of the shirt.

  4. Step 4

Fold in the edges along your traced lines and use a sewing machine or hand sew.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Cut off the collar of the shirt and cut it in half (one piece for each side) then pin it to the sweetheart neckline and sew it down. (You can sew it following along the neckline, and it will make the fold naturally.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Make straps out of the long sleeves that you cut off and attach them to the highest point of each sweetheart side to make a halter.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

All done! Any questions just ask :)
