A Cheap and easy way to grow your earing collection!!
This is a very easy project. You don't need a bunch of jewlery material. It is very simple and short to do. But one warning, it gets addictive, so don't blame me if you end up with a pair of earings for every day of the month!

  • How to make a pair of button earrings. Easy Diy Button Earings - Step 1
    Step 1

    First off, gather your materials:
    Buttons
    Earring Posts
    Crazy Glue
    Gloves (to protect your skin)
Cardboard (to protect your working surface)

    Step 2

Sort your buttons into pairs with the posts you want them with! With darker buttons you may want to use a darker type of metal (bronze) with lighter earings you might want to use silver posts!

Then, you should clean the surfaces you will be gluing together and make sure they are dry. Then you can apply a drop of Super glue (crazy glue) to the earing post.

Then all that is left to do is to glue the post to the earing! Now there are two things you should know depending on the size of the button:
If the button is small you should center your post.
I the button is big, you should place it more towards a side, because if you center it, the button will go over your ear....and that is not so nice!

Now you can also take very plain buttons and decorate them. Here I've taken a grey button and painted a red flower on it and finished it with a coat of gloss! You can also use fabric covered button, or make you own! There is many many possibilities!!

Enjoy and I hope to see your versions!!

Cute, thanks. I have lots of lovely earrings, but the backs are nickel based and I resently discovered that my ears are sensitive or allergic to nickel so I can use this method to change most of them to silver ones.
