Oh no you don't have a Halloween costume!! well lets fix that!
Need a Halloween costume but out of money? I know the feeling. so here is something you can make out of the stuff laying around your house.
I came up with this as I was finishing up my Halloween costume. It was difficult locating a tuxedo mask, Mask. i did a fox sprite for the How To.
this is about 3 hours of actual crafting but allow time for drying. I usually make a mask over two days to give it a changes to fully dry but that isn't necessary.

(you may need less paper depending on your design just as long as you end up with 15 to 20 cut outs)

Mark one inch from your ear mark or outer most edge( depending on your design) and make a dark mark. This is to indicate where the elastic will be placed.

    Step 12

While mask is still damp from the glue place onto your face and press against the sides of the bridge of your nose. This will give you the nose cap in the mask and therefore dimension. Once that is how you want it press against your cheeks and brow. Set aside to dry.

    Step 13

While you let that sit. Take the other stack of cutouts and your template. On your template you should have already marked an inch in from your ear mark, take your xacto knife and cut through that mark while the template is folded in half.

  • Step 14

Open template and lay on top of one of your cut outs, with a sharp pencil mark through that cut. Do this to all remaining cut outs. Once done cut through all marks with your xacto knife.

  • Step 15

Flip mask onto its front place template onto mask and mark with pencil through the xacto cuts. Remove template.

  • Step 16

Place end of elastic in front of one ear stringing it behind your head to the front of the other ear then cut.

    Step 18

Apply glue in to the nose area of mask and place one cut out firmly in place. Begin gluing down around the right eye. Thread elastic through cut. Remove cloths pin. Press cut out down and finish gluing. DO NOT GLUE DOWN LEFT SIDE OF MASK. Repeat with all remaining cut outs.

    Step 19

Thread elastic through the left side cuts, gently folding them onto the right side. Apply a dot of glue onto pencil mark on the left side of mask. Place elastic onto glue and pin down with close pin. Repeat step 18 but on the left side.

    Step 20

You may need to remold it to your face, if so do. Then set aside to dry. While it’s drying clean up your scrapes and get your masking tape.(drying can take a while, it all depends on the amount of water in your glue. I usually work on a mask over two days, stopping here and letting it dry overnight just to be safe, but that isn’t necessary.)

  • How to make a masquerade. Easy And Cheep Halloween Mask - Step 21
    Step 21

Once mask is dry take the masking tape and cut off about three inches. Place inside one of the eyes on the bottom. Place it so there is an equal amount on both sides. Press down on one side then the other, you may have to make small tares or cuts in the tape so that it lays flat. Do this to the top of the eye as well. Repeat with the other eye. Then do this on all the outside edges.(This is to create a smooth edge so there is no chance of paper cuts.)

  • Step 22

Paint the mask white as a base then let dry.

  • Step 23

Once that’s dry paint to your liking and embellish.

And there it is your mask is ready to go! Have a good Halloween!!!!
