When you are going out to a club, for a night out with the girls, or anywhere you can let loose, you have a chance to go really bold with your make-up! As for the elegant evening make-up, the lighting in most night-time venues is darker, making it a prime opportunity to create drama with your look. For this dramatic look, you’ll make the eyes your showy statement piece.

Step 1
Apply concealer under the eyes, around the nose, and wherever else you have redness.
Step 2
Apply full-coverage cream foundation.
Step 3
Apply highlight and contour to the cheeks, nose, jawline, and forehead. Blend highlight and contour into the foundation with a damp sponge.
Step 4
Brush a so dusty rose blusher between high- light and contour, following the natural line of the cheeks.
Step 5
With a dark brown pencil, start lling in the eyebrows from the inside corner of the eye, creating “hair strokes” straight up and angled towards the natural brow shape. The brows should be slightly fuller near the nose and thinner from the arch to the end of the brow.
Step 6
Place sticky tape along the outside of the eyes, starting at the outside corner and angling to the end of the eyebrows; this will help you with placement. Apply pale gold shimmer eye shadow from the corner of each eye and follow up across the entire eyebrow, ending at the brow bone to create a crease.
Step 7
Apply a shimmer bronze eye shadow under the gold highlight (on the upper crease) on each eye.
Step 8
Apply teal shimmer eye shadow on the lash lines and into the crease of each eyelid.
Step 9
Apply midnight blue shimmer shadow at the end of the lash line, swooping up along the edge to create a smoky eye.
Step 10
Line each eye with black liquid eyeliner by following the lash line and travelling up the side of the tape. Apply black eyeliner on the lower water lines for a dramatic look. When nished, gently remove the tape.
Step 11
Load up the eyelashes with an intense black mascara. You can place an index card in front of the eyelids to avoid creating streaks.
Step 12
Use a esh-coloured lip pencil to line and ll in the lips.
Step 13
Apply esh-coloured lip gloss on top of the lip pencil.

The Sticky Tape Method
Here’s a tip for a flawless eye shadow application:

Place a piece of sticky tape at an angle from the outside corner of the eye to the end of the eyebrow, before you apply your eye shadows.
Step 15
When you have finished, carefully remove the tape.
Step 16
As you can see, you’re left with a clean shadow line. People will think you’ve had your make-up done by a professional!
