Instructions

  1. 1

Draw a template about 6 x 4, onto white paper. The template can be like a rectangle and then at the top of the template just cut off the edges so that it looks curved.

  2. 2

Then fold the fabric in half and attach the template. Cut round the template and you should have a front and a back to the doll.

  3. 3

Next cut out a face using felt, I draw the eyes and the mouth as well as the cheeks onto the felt some actually sew on the faces. Then sew it onto the front of your doll.

  4. 4

Then sew on the tail hanging down with the beads that I have chosen to go with the colour of the dotee.

  5. 5

I next sew on the hanger which is the ribbon on the back of the dotee.

  6. 6

I put the back of the dotee ontop of the face and start to sew it together leaving the top open so I can turn it inside out.

  7. 7

Once turned inside out I then use cotton wool as I can't find polyfill where I live and then sew it together. Then you can embellish it, I use wool for the hair, lace for around her waist, ribbon etc however you want.
