A cute and adorable Ipod case to keep that ipod scratch free!
I made this Case for my friends birthday. She's a BIG fan of Domokun so I made her an Ipod case for her; she is always dropping and loosing her Ipod. It didn't take too long too make ... but it sure was fun too do :) every five minutes I would run to my mom to see if I made this thing right ... Just making Sure ! (I come from a family where everybody has their own 'thing' like sewing or drawing, so we are ALL perfectionist's ... it runs in the blood :D ) so I'm actually thinking of making these in different kind of animals ... what do you think ?

(ps. it wouldn't take long for an experienced sewer ... but i'm a VERY slow sewer, so it took me a little longer :) )

  • How to sew a fabric character pouch. Domokun Ipod Nano Case - Step 1
    Step 1

I first made a pattern to make sure it would be precisely right.

    Step 2

so basically it's being able to sew the mouth with the teeth on the inside so that you don't get the ugly edges on the front.

    Step 3

Make sure you don't make your teeth too big. Otherwise they will stick out in the front and might pry loose because we aren't sewing them down.

    Step 4

Sorry that I don't have another picture in between here ... but i think it is pretty clear.I stitched in a running stitch twice around to make sure it was sturdy.

    Step 5

Then I sewed a set of eyes on my Domokun (btw it took me forever to get them to look even ... I started with HUGE eyes and they ended up looking like this :D ) Now I will be sewing the two pieces together. I sewed a running stitch along the top open edges for a nice finished look.

    Step 6

    see what I mean ???

    Step 7

so after going around the rectangles twice it looked like this ... Making sure that the thread was securely fastened so that it wouldn't loosen up.

Tadaaa there you have your new Ipod case ... ain't he cool ???
