  • How to make a wooden box. Doctor Who Snowman - Step 1
    Step 1

You need two Styrofoam balls depending on how big you want your snowman you will either need a small and a medium or a medium and a large. The smaller of the two is the head of the snowman and the larger is the body.

    Step 2

Stick a toothpick into the bottom of the head piece.

Then stick the toothpick into the body piece. That's all it takes to hold these two pieces together.

    Step 4

Stick the ornament hook into the top of the head, I used a little bit of glue on the bottom of the hook just for extra stability.

Draw the face and your done.... If you like the smooth look, if you would rather have a rougher look to the snowman as I do then continue reading.

    Step 6

I liked the smooth look but wanted a bit more texture. I used knife to scrape of the top layer of the Styrofoam. Looks much more like snow, not so perfect.

    Step 7

This is the head, for some reason it turned out a bit more lumpy then the body piece which makes me love it more. "Imperfections" are a good thing.

    Step 8

Draw the face back on. It's a bit harder to make the lines even with the bumpiness of the Styrofoam and it also soaks up the ink a bit more.

    Step 9

Put the pieces back together and like before and hang on your tree. Something just occurred to me, you could also forgo the ornament hook and cut the very very bottom portion off making it flat and set it on a flat surface. Hmmm... I think I am going to have to do that. :)
