I wanted a pair of ripped jeans o-so very badly but i just didnt have enough cash. I saw these ripped ones in a magazine, how the ripps were like stripes. So i used a pair of jeans i already had and started ripping!

Put on your jeans.
Take your ruler and draw a line where you want your rip to be with the Tailors chalk.
Do this all the way down the 2 legs. -
Fit your Cutting Board or cardboard into a leg and start to cut with the Exaacto Knife along the line you drew on. Do this along every line you drew. The scruffier the rips look the cooler the pants will look.

You're DONE!
The more ripps you make and the closer they are together makes it look more proffesinal (to me)
TIP: just be careful not to rip across the whole leg!
