My 4-month old Shih-Poo is always up for a game of Tug-Of War. It makes her feel good… and she loves it because we always let her win. We’re using a DIY tug toy, not those fancy ropes displayed in stores. I know my pet don’t mind the cost of any toy I give her as long as she’s happy playing with it…

Instructions

  1. Small 101 1935 1316931718

Prepare 3 strips of fabric, each about 1 meter x 3 inches. (I used a velvet-like fabric for this project.)

  2. Small 101 1941 1316931940

Put the strips together. Measure 8 inches from one end and tie with a rubber band to secure the 3 strips. From there, braid the fabric strips tightly.

  3. Small 101 1946 1316932072

Braid until the length is about 12 inches.

  4. Small 101 1945 1316932497

Bring the strips together from each end. Then, braid as one.

  5. Small 101 1947 1316932683

Braid up to 5 inches long.

  6. Small 101 1938 1316932720

Tie a couple of knots tightly.

  7. Small 101 1936 1316932754

    Knot each individual strips.

  8. Small 101 1951 1316932813

Measure about 4 inches for the fringes and then, trim off the excess.
