This is more of a life hack than a craft, and although I've added it in the sewing section (because it's related to mending) it uses no actual sewing skill. This is how my mom used to patch up my pants as a child. I was forever ripping holes in the knees. Now I'm using it on my daughter's clothes, which I love. Then I decided, why stop there? I can use this idea on mine, too.

You know how it is. Holes in your pants happen to the best of us. Why throw out a perfectly good garment when you can patch them up with adorable hearts. Lay out your hole-y garments and slip a rag under the hole and between the layers of fabric. Heat up your iron.
Using your pencil and scissors (or just eyeball it), trace and cut out a heart-shape on your iron-on fabric patch. Make sure it's large enough to comfortably cover the hole.
Iron on according to manufacturer's instructions. Make sure you do not forget to add a rag between your pant legs so you don't adhere your pants together!
