You Will Need
-
Step 1Find a long, huge thrift store dress, with a fabric you like.

Step 2Cut off the top of the dress.

Step 3Cut extra fabric off the sides.
-
Step 4Sew new side seams.

Step 5Use fabric cut from sides to make a new waistband.

Step 6With right sides together, pin and sew waistband.

Step 7Fold over and sew a small casing in the top of the waistband. Thread the drawstring through the casing.

Step 8Sit back, relax and enjoy your new maxi skirt.
