The perfect summer scarf for fashion, not warmth.
My friend Nibby showed me how to make a really rad scarf out of an old tshirt! It takes about an hour of labor and you will spend maybe $5 maximum.

  • How to make a t-shirt scarf. DIY Scrap Scarf - Step 1
    Step 1

    First cut a bunch of 5 by 8 inch squares out of the t-shirt.

    Cut tiny slits up the square but leave about an inch at the top.

    Continue along.

    After cutting all the slits, pull the bottom of each strip to streatch it out.

    Step 5

    Once you have as many squares cut and streached as you can out of the t-shirt, tie them together at the end of each strip.

    this is optional but you can dip dye the end of the scarf! I chose black clothing dye!

I made a small one out of my little brothers undershirts and dyed them so the colors faded into each other

I took your advice , basically i went rogue. i will have post some photos . i made mine longer and then tie them to my arm to make like wings . Everyone said i looked like a crow . The scarf can be use as a costume . Thank you Audrey
