Made my own matte nail polish in pink. But you can do it in any colour. This is a quick and easy tutorial with minimal mess to clean up :D

  • How to paint a matte nail. Diy Matte Nail Polish - Step 1
    Step 1

First of all, scrape your chosen eyeshadow colour into a container with toothpick.. (I used pink eyeshadow) make sure the eyshadow is a very fine powder once scraped. How ever much eye shadow you use depends on how much nail polish you want as your end result. (Btw, you need more eyeshadow than clear polish).

    Step 2

Add a couple drops of clear polish to the eyeshadow and mix with a toothpick. You only need a little bit of polish so the mixture is not too runny or too thick.

    Step 3

Try not to leave the mixture out too long because it will dry out

  • How to paint a matte nail. Diy Matte Nail Polish - Step 4
    Step 4

Pour/scoop mixture into a smaller container that can be closed with a lid, or put mixture into an old nail polish bottle. You may need to use your toothpick to push into container if it has a small hole. Sorry that my picture is upside down...my iPad dosnt like me today haha.

Then hey presto! Your homemade matte nail polish is done (:

I posted a project just like that not to long ago, but instead I just funneled the eye shadow right into the bottle of clear nail polish that was on its last leg.

That pink did turn out really nicely though.

And it may be a little bit weird, but I think we have the same eye shadow set...lol yeah, weird.
