Description

This is a easy and cute makeup bag. Using this tutorial you learn to make you own makeup bag and keep your makeup supplies safe and organized.

Instructions

  1. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 061954 dsc00088

These are the materials you need for this project.

  2. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062606 picmonkey%2bcollage

Cut a out a piece of fabric and sponge. 1. The sponge should be the size you want your bag to be. 2. keep the fabric 1-2 inch longer than the sponge. Put the exterior piece over the sponge and secure it with berry pins.

  3. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062609 picmonkey%2bcollage6

Draw some diagonal lines on the piece, then again draw similar diagonal lines from the opposite way as they cross the previous lines. Then sew along the lines. I've made another similar piece.

  4. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 063634 dsc00404

Cut out two interior pieces for the bag.

  5. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062619 picmonkey%2bcollagejkh

Put the chain over the exterior piece (as shown in the image) and then put the interior piece over it as you keep the chain in between the two pieces. Then stitch them.

  6. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062639 dsc00456

I'm done attaching the chain. As you can see I've attached a ribbon and bow on one the pieces.

  7. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062643 dsc00454

    Fold it.

  8. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062646 dsc00459

And sew the sides and bottom. Remember to keep the chain halfway open before you sew the sides and bottom.

  9. Small 108462 2f2015 04 10 062651 dsc00461

Fold the bottom corners of the bag as you make a triangle shape (as shown in the picture) then stitch them. If you want to have a better look check the link below. http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/pretty-jeans-purse
