Don't forget your pets on Valentine's Day! Make this simple felt dog or cat collar to give your furry friend a sign of your love. Or use it to deliver a love note to your spouse or loved ones. I've included an easy tutorial as a free downloadable PDF file, feel free to make it any share it!

You Will Need
- Attractive Ribbon for collar, diameter of pet's neck - I used: Red 1" wide grosgrain ribbon, 15" long
- Extra Ribbon for bow 5"
- Felt , at least 5"x3"

Cut two tag shapes from felt. Use hole punch to make small hole at top of both pieces.

Attach embellishments to front tag piece.

Sew felt shapes together.

Add metal ring.

Thread ribbon through ring, measure around pet's neck.

Add 2" to length.

Seal ends of ribbon from fraying by holding near a match flame until ends melt (but not catch fire!).

Cut and seal an extra 5" piece of ribbon.

Fold extra ribbon piece into bow. Use a straight pin to pin bow in place at end of ribbon collar.

Attach metal snaps to ends of collar.

Use snaps to place collar on your pet!
