The one in the photos was made at a FAME (Fine Arts and Music festival) several years ago and the pipes were pre-cut and if you get it at Home Depot, you can have them cut the length you decide on.

You can use beeswax around the mouthpiece or duct tape.

Once you make it, you can decorate it with a paint or permanent marker, which is what is being used in the 2nd photo or paint or stickers.
