Step 1
Cut a diamond shape from the cardstock to use as a template.

Position the template on the bud vase and lightly draw around it with a pencil. Move the template to the next position, and again draw lightly around it. Continue doing so until the entire pattern is penciled onto the surface.
Draw over the lines with the oil-based paint markers and fill in the

shapes. Add an extra pop of color to the pattern by using a second color to outline and fill one or two of the diamond shapes.

Allow to dry completely.
Tip: Switch your designs: this diamond pattern works well on glass votive candle holders, and the mod flowers work well painted upside-down on a bud vase.
