My Hubby is getting deployed at the end of the year and I wanted to make something for me and the other Marine wife/girlfriend/fiance's.
Feedback would be appreciated.This is just a prototype if you will. I am also going to make status messages that you can velcro on to the pocket so you can change them with your mood,any suggestions for that would be appreciated.
I would also like to fill the bag with goodies like a journal. Quotes to make you smile and feel better. Any ideas fellow crafter?

I love the idea. It's really sweet. I think you should get some velcro backing or something though because if you put velcro on felt too much it'll make it a big tangled matted mess. I'm assuming it's made out of felt.
You should make a little fabric dangling keychain/accessory to go on the handle with their hubby/boyfriend/fiance's last name, like the ones that they wear on the uniform (:

Check out the book : "Chicken Soup for the Military Wive's Soul." Yes it's cheesy but I'm sure you will find some great quotes in it. My husband is leaving for 2 years at the end of this month. This is such a great idea.
