Cute gothy t-shirt, dead simple to make.
I made this as a gift for my cousin, who is 16 and slim, which is why I'm not modelling this item :)
Inspired by an item on this site, Angel Wing cut out T shirt, but wanted to make it a bit more rock.

  • How to revamp a shredded top. Demon Wing T Shirt - Step 1
    Step 1

Draw out your stencil on paper and cut out the areas carefully, didn't use a template, just drew mine but sure you could find something appropriate online.

  • How to revamp a shredded top. Demon Wing T Shirt - Step 2
    Step 2

Use chalk to mark out the areas to be cut out on the black t-shirt. Be sure to turn the t-shirt inside out before you start!

    Step 3

Put a board inside the t-shirt and use scissors to cut along the chalk lines.I found the best way was not to try and cut all round the chalk marks but to pinch the fabric a little and snip the top off. And always remember the t shirt fabric is stretchy!

    Step 4

Turn your t-shirt right way out and layer it on top of another, different coloured t-shirt (you could wear it without an under shirt if you're brave and live somewhere warmer than Scotland)

Looks amazing! Do you think fabric paint would work as well, instead of wearing another t-shirt underneath?

I'm not sure, I always just make messes with fabric paint! Tongue
If you do a painted version be sure to put it up on CO&K, I'd love to see it!

I will certainly attempt to do so Happy I work largely freehand when it comes to fabric but I'll see what I can do Happy

Hey I've added a rough stencil, was a bit in a flap as of how to do it but I won the Doxie Flip contest for one of my papercut projects (eeeeeeeep! happy face!) I also changed the how to a little though cause I forgot to include that the best way to do this is not to try and cutaround the line of the stencil but to pinch the fabric and snip along the top. if you cut around the stencil lines you'll loose too much fabric when you wear the t shirt!
