A great idea I had for mine was to actually use one of my Grandfather's cigar boxes to make a bigger alter.
Create in your own way how you want it to look.

Place a picture in the middle to show some respect.
Mine included a picture of my Grandfather, a button from one of his pajamas and a label from his favorite cigars. I put it in my bag and take it with me where ever I go.
