• Step 1

  I didn't take measures, sorry, but I used someone else's back as a model and decided that an arm and a half is enough wire for one wing, then i made the "U" formation that you can see in the middle and got another arm and a half lenth of wire. When I was done with this, I cut another little piece of wire and with the pliers I put it between the wings as support, tied the ends of the wings to the lower part of the "U" formation and I gave it the form of the wing as I considered proper in that very moment.

  I ended with something like this =D.

  Step 3

  Then I cut a square of transparent fabric and used nylon thread to needle it. Do not cut the remaining fabric!!! This will be useful in a further step. Sorry about the mess, this is the time of the year that my bedroom looks more like a crafting workshop rather than a bedroom =..<.

  Step 4

  Then I draw some feathers in this transparent fabric with the glitter glue, you can use only silver or can combine silver with anything else you want, I mean colors are up to own choice.

  Step 5

  Then I used the lighter to give some patterns to the remaining fabric, TRY to make the burnings in only one way to keep the feather pattern. And PLEASE!! Be very careful with the lighter =D.

  Step 6

  Then needle the old looking fabric in the upper part of each wing, use the back part of the wing that is not painted in glitter glue. Add the shiny fabric in the bottom part of the wing, right behind the burned transparent fabric. Once you are done with this, cut both fabrics in strips. You can also needle strip by strip, but it will take you longer.

  Step 7

  Now, I used the shiny ribbon to cover the stitches in the upper part of the wing, but, it's optional =D. I liked the result actually. I cut the ribbon in half because the one I bought was 3" wide, it was too much!! But in the end it was useful, because to cover the wire in the "U" formation I cut a piece of foam and cover it with the ribbon and then stitched it around the wire.

  Step 8

  I added the elastic band in the upper part of the "U" formation and then tied it in the bottom part, but over my model for a perfect fit =D. And this was the result. Hope it's useful, you can make some good angel wings with the same technique.

  Step 9

  With a little bit of pacience and imagination, this and some eyeliners will make your outfit look this way.
