My 7 years old boy asked me to make him a dalmatian puppy hat. Its really warm and can be worn outside even in very cold weather. I ended up making this one to big so I kept it for myself and made him a smaller hat. if you forget the mountain of spots you can use this tutorial as a base for any hats just change the shape of the ears if you want a bunny or a kitty or remove them if you dont want any

you will meed 2x top part 1 inch longer then the circumference of your head and about 6 inch high.. less for kids 1 long rectangle 1 inch longer then the circumference of your head and 2x wider then you want the border to be optional another rectangle of polyester fiber to make it warmer and more fluffy half the height of the previous piece 4 rounded triangle for the ears 2 smaller smaller triangle piece for the inside of the ears lots and lots and lots of dark spot, make them various shape and size it look better.
fold the rectangle in 2 lengthwise whit the polyester in the middle and sew a bunch of dark spots on one side
sew more spots on 2 ears piece sew the pink rounded triangle on the last 2 sew the piece together and flip inside out them to get 2 ears
take one of the head piece sew it to make the top part and cut 2 opening on the side to add the ears
add more black spots on the top.... and more, and more, and more. dalmatian dog have a LOT of spots
sew the second head piece but do NOT cut opening on the top instead sew it inside the second top part to hide all the ugly stitch and the piece of fabric poking in, it will also make it warmer and very comfortable if you want it even more warm you can add polyester between both layer
sew the bottom part whit the top, you wanna make sure when you wear it the stitch are between the top and the bottom part and not under where you can see it , many many people myself included make the stitch on the wrong side the first time they make a hat so if you unfold it the stitch are suposed to be outside the hat and not inside
cut excess fabric, put in on your head, open the front door and go somewhere
