My favorite long sleeved shirt, too small turned to TOO CUTE!!
 <  Image 1 of 8  >

I was heart broken that this shirt no longer fit me, it was comfortable, my favorite color, and had a niffty skull on the side but sadly, my *ahem* "girls" were just too big for it, soooooo I had to revamp it into something that would look good AND fit!!! I decided to post instructions so that everyone can do this if they have a favorite shirt they just do not want to get rid of. I apologize for not having "how to" pics!!! I didnt think it would turn out good enough to post!!

  1. Step 1

Lay your fitted long sleeved shirt out on a table or flat surface, cut a straight line armpit to armpit across the shirt under the neckline.

  2. Step 2

Set bottom of shirt aside, this will be....well, the bottom of you shirt. Now, take the top half containing the sleeves and cut them off at the shoulder seams.

  3. Step 3

Turn the sleeves inside out and cut them straight up the middle along the inside seam so that it is a large strip of fabric. If there is no seam then use a measuring tool to make a straight line to guide you.

  4. Step 4

Take the lower half of the shirt and turn it inside out. At the top of the shirt line up the strips of fabric formally known as "Sleeves". Place them at the distance you think would work best for your chest. Everyone will be a little different.

  5. Step 5

Pin the end of the sleeves to the inside of the shirt and prepair a needle and thread to sew them to the inside of the shirt. If you are handy with a sewing machine that is fine too. I am not.

  6. Step 6

When both sleeves are sewn to the top of the bottom half of the shirt, then you can turn the whole thing right side out (did that make sense? I hope so!!)

  7. Step 7

Your shirt is now finished, put it on and bring the sleeves up to cover your chest, wrapping them around your neck and tying them like a halter top. You may need to adjust the sleeves so that they cover you properly. You can also cut the sleeves into a tapper at the top to have triangles instead. I am fairly big busted as I needed to keep them rectangular.

  8. Step 8

TA DA!!! You are FINISHED!! You may wear a tube top or a cute halter style bra under neith to create a layered look!!! Thank you and enjoy!!!

This is totally amazing!! Very good idea too, I'm trying to lose weight atm, so this will be a good way to alter and sexify t-shirts when I'm smaller. Thanks for the good tip chick xxx
