Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

First you will need to top the egg. Some people have fancy tools that create a perfect circle at the top of the egg. If you are like me and you dont, you can gently saw the top off with a sharp knife and break small pieces until its good enough.

  2. 2

Make sure to completely empty out your egg. After you empty it, wash the insides out so it doesnt get smelly.

  3. 3

Now you can paint whatever you want on the egg. I made mine a chick because thats what the egg reminded me of.

  4. 4

Put a bit of cotton at the bottom of the egg so the seeds have something to grow on. Sprinkle the seeds then spray with water. I used some left over seeds from my chia planter.

  5. 5

My seeds called for part sun and I sprayed them a little everyday, but dont give it too much water because there is no where for the water to drain out. After your finished with everything, put your egg on something that will hold it upright. I used a bottle cap.

  6. 6

After a couple weeks, your plants should be fully grown. Depending on what type of plants you grew, you can trim it if it gets too long.

  7. 7

Mine wasnt the kind you can trim, so I just let it grow until it sorta rotted then I just threw the whole thing out :P
Enjoy your little planter.. while it lasts!
