roller derby skates updated!
These roller skates began as plain pink, but I used acrylic paint to customise them. Paint colours used were black and bright pink. I haven't sealed them with anything, and they've stood up to a fair bit of punishment so far!

I might suggest using enamel paint. You can use Testors (found with paints for model cars often available in craft stores) which come in a large assortment of colors or other pinstriping paint (One Shot, Kustom, etc) They are durable and removable with thinner and don't need to be sealed. Enamel paints are also great for derby helmets--I did mine! While acrylic takes minutes to dry, enamels may take a day or two if really thick.
