  • Step 1

Heat some oil in a pan. Stir-fry ham in in, then add the onions and roast gently for about 8 minutes on medium heat. Let cool down. Preheat the oven to 180° C. Line two baking sheets with baking paper.

  • Step 2

Roll out one package of puff pastry. Don't remove the paper beneath it. Spread the onion ham mixture and half of grated cheese over it. Cover with the second rolled puff pastry. Remove the paper and set aside. Whisk the egg and use half of it to brush the puff pastry. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and sesame seeds. Take the second paper again and carefully cover the puff pastry with it. Using the ends of the two papers turn around the puss pastry sheets. Remove the paper, brush the second side with the whisked egg and sprinkle first with seeds then with remaining cheese.

  • Step 3

Cut the dough sheet into 12 stripes. Carefully lift a strip and place on the prepared baking sheet. Screw it spirally. Continue with the remaining bars. Bake in the hot oven for about 25 minutes, until golden brown.
