These belts are my first crocheted projects.Very simple, I know...

Ok here goes pic tutorial.It was very hard to take pics during progress so pls be gentle.This tutorial is only for newbies, I know that you crochet godessess will laugh at my silly explanations

  • How to stitch a knit or crochet belt. Crochet Belts - Step 1
    Step 1

    Make a knot arround the hook

    Crochet a row with 14 stitches

    Turn and make a double stich ( I think this is correct name for it)

    Step 3

    Continue untill you finish this row

  • Step 4

    Turn and make 4 stiches

    Step 5

    Make a double stich but leave a hole with 2 stiches

    Step 6

    Make another double crochet

    Step 7

    Make 4 stiches than double crochet, leaving 4 stiches as a hole

    Step 8

    Make 2 stiches than double crochet

    Step 9

    Continue like this until desired length

    After you finish, lets decorate it a bit.Start like this

    Make 3 stiches arround the edge

    Then make a double stitch

  • Step 13

    Than make 3 triple ( ) stiches

  • Step 14

    Then make one double stich and one single stich and finnish will look like a petal

    Step 15

    Make 2 more single stiches arround the edge ( so 3 in total)

  • Step 16

    After you finish on both sides of belt than add ribbon.

    I suck at explanations but I hope instructions are clear in pics.And I'm pretty sure I mixed up the names of stiches...

Very pretty! Good job with the pictures, too. The name I've heard for the stitch in the States is "double crochet", in British directions that "triple crochet". So, why not use double stitch? It makes sense! =D
