I learned to crochet from some tutorials on youtube and designed and made this project straight off. Not bad for a first attempt! I've got the bug now and am busy doing more!
I was slow at first as it was a new skill, and it took about 2 months.

That looks great for your first blanket. You should see my first crochet blanket, it is horrible.
