to start ch 3, join to 1st st to form circle, ch 2 (as turning ch)
Round 1- work 12 hdc in circle,(not counting turning ch) then sl st to top of previous ch 2 turning chain. sl st 1,(to prevent line creep) then ch 2 (insame space as the sl st ) (12 sts)
Round 2-inc by working 2 hdc in each st, sl st to top of previous ch 2 turning chain, sl st 1, ch 2 (24 sts)
Round 3-*hdc next 3 sts, then inc by working 2 hdc in same st*repeat *to* to end, ending with 1 hdc, sl st to top of previous ch 2 turning chain, sl st 1., ch 2 (31 sts)
Round 4-7_hdc each st, sl st to top of previous ch 2 turning chain, sl st 1. ch 2, (31 sts)
Round 8-*hdc next 4 sts then dec by working 2 hdc tog*repeat*to*,ending with just 1 hdc, sl st to top of previous ch 2 turning chain, sl st 1, ch 2,(26 sts)

Round 12-(starting the short strap) sl st 3, ch 10, skip 4 sts, then sl st the ch 10, (attaching it to top brim of purse) sl st 1, turn
and then sc up the ch 10, repeat, for a total of 2 rows on loop handle, with a sl st at each base to secure chain to brim of purse,
continue on and sl st 7 sts, (going around top of bag to other side to start long loop, making sure you are even with other side's smaller loop)
ch 25, skip 4 sts, sl st the ch 25, (attaching it top of brim of purse),
sl st 1, turn and then sc up the ch 25,repeat for a total of 2 rows on loop handle, with a sl at at each end to secure chain to brim of purse. fasten off and weave in ends.
