No worries, the way patterns are written can be a bit confusing sometimes Happy would love to see a piccie of your cow once you've finished!! x

Oh right, I get it! Thank you so much! I thought it meant to sc on just one stitch at first so I was like, "but then you end up with more than 24!" lol.

Thank you Happy

Hey Starshine Happy

When you have a bit of the pattern in brackets it means you repeat it all the way round until the end of that row.

So at the end of round 3 you have 18 stitches,
In the next stitch you sc
In the next stitch you sc
In the next stitch you do 2 sc (which increase the no of stitches)
Repeat until you get to your marker for the end of the row & you'll have 24 in total

Hope that makes sense? Happy give me a shout if not?

Hello! I'm doing this exact pattern at the moment, and it's my first time crocheting, but I'm stuck on something! I don't understand the bit where it says:

Rnd 3: [1 sc, 2 sc in next st] around (18)
Rnd 4: [2 sc, 2 sc in next st] around (24)

Well, I understand how to do round 3, I now have 18 stitches, but how do you get from 18 stitches to 24 if you do 2 single crochet, then 2 single crochet on the next stich? Or am I just being stupid?!

Any help would be greatky appreciated (:
Thank you xo
