  1. Step 1

    Step 1

you need two t-shirts (1) for the outer fabric (2) for the inner...pin the bottom together...

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

now take that measuring tape and measure your head...then loosen it to feel comfortable around your head...still holding onto the measurement...put it down on the fabric and cut the whole t-shirt upwards..

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

now I know this is silly but I put it the cut fabric on my head and pin the sides, grab the chalk and mark where my head should stop (ppfffttt....my face...)

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

ok alighn the interior t-shirt with the outer t-shirt and pin then turn it inside out (interior out and outer in)

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

ok I used a pen, but a chalk is still good... make a hat and pin you can try it on and rearrange if neccessary...

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

the draw the cat ears and cut

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

but before sewing the hat closed take this time to make the face...it can be ay expression...happy,sad,angry,silly, or super animated...have fun with it, BUT sew it onto the outer only and leave the inner fabric intact and threadless...get me? then sew it once you're done...FYI for the newcomers...I use the whipstitch (google if needed)...

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

    here's my cat's face...

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

    TO MAKE THE TEETH:
grab some felt and cut it like you see in this picture..

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

grab a pen or pencil and make the fang teeth (or mountains in other words )

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

here's the result and leave it to the side for later...

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

now sew it ,but leave the lower seam open (if your doing teeth)...

  13. Step 13

sometime the ears won't lool right by itself so I have 2 ideas for you to contemplate...(1) the pink triangle cats have in their ears you can sew that on or (2) felt cover it...

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

to felt cover it..you need to grab some felt and cover the cat's ear and cut according to size..

  15. Step 15

    Step 15

then with any extra fabric..make the triangle insides of the cat's ear..

  16. Step 16

    Step 16

and sew it to one side of the cat's ear

  17. Step 17

    Step 17

now put it around the cat's ear (pin if needed) and sew it around do the same with the other wear if you want to..

  18. Step 18

    Step 18

    NOW FOR THE TEETH:

the bottom seam, put the teeth in between the inner and outer fabric...

  19. Step 19

    Step 19

pin and sew and your done! go show off the new cute hat you made!
