A cute basket for your little things!

This basket is perfect for anything that you want. It can hold all of your jewelery, hair binders, candy, or whatever you can think needs to be held! It is very easy to make and you can be creative with colors.

If you are really interested, you can buy a kit from my esty shop!

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Find a cotton cord that is about 5/32 and plyable.

Choose your yarn that you want to use. It does not have to be organic cotton, in fact, you can use any left over yarn from other projects. This makes for a good clean up project.

  2. Step 2 2

Use the super glue to attach the yarn to the cord at the very end. Continue wrapping the yarn around the cord, making sure that you are not leaving any cord showing. Use the super glue to attach the yarn every few inches. This will ensure that you will not have to rewind it if let go.

When you have wrapped a substantial amount of cord you can start sewing the cord together as shown. If you are concerned about the center piece, you can super glue some yarn in to cover it up.

  3. Step 3 3

Once you have reached you desired diameter, start building the sides. Make sure that you are building them straight up, otherwise it will be crooked. =) BE CREATIVE WITH COLOR!

  4. Step 4 4

Make sure that you are hiding you stitches!!

  5. Step 5 5

When your basket has reached your desired height, you can choose to make a handle or not. The handle that I have created was twisted, sewn, and SECURELY bound into place.

  6. Step 6 6

As you can see on the inside right handle, you can wrap your thread around the handle to secure it. I have found that this is the fool-proof way to complete it.

Now fill it up an enjoy!!
