Make the Trader Joe's Sea Salt & Turbinado Sugar Dark Chocolate Almonds at home for a cheaper option and one that you'll want to make over and over again.

  • Step 1

    Add chocolate chips to a double boiler and stir until melted completely. OR microwave the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring in between intervals, until completely melted.

  • Step 2

    Remove melted chocolate from the heat and add almonds, stirring until they are completely coated.

  • Step 3

    Sprinkle sea salt over almonds and toss to incorporate. Add sugar and toss again.

  • Step 4

    Spread the nuts onto a cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper and place in the fridge for about 20 minutes to set.

  • Step 5

    Remove from the fridge and add nuts to a large bowl. Break them up with your hands or a spoon of they are clumped together. Sprinkle with cocoa powder and toss to coat completely.
