Everyone needs their own box of happiness
This is a box you find laying around that is prettified that you fill with things that make you happy. When you feel sad, stressed out, etc open the box and use what is inside to help you. Mine has teabags, colored pencils, pastels, postcards from places I love, a couple of favorite pictures, and a simple crochet and knit scarf patterns (to spark ideas if I am feeling blah about crafts). Put it in your favorite spot in the house.

  • How to make a box. Comfort Box - Step 1
    Step 1

Find a box that you like that has a lid - I prefer an attached lid. I used a cigar box and a large crayon box.

    Step 2

Get out scrapbook paper. I used 5 different patterns. It was more than enough paper to cover it. Trace out the different sides of the box, cut it out, use glue sticks to glue to box. For the one with green on beige I made the smaller green section by tracing the larger (lid) piece, and then measuring an inch from each side making a smaller box within a box. For the one with the butterfly I used strips and cut a separate butterfly which I glued on top.

Once you have covered your box use transparent tape to tack down the edges. If your box is hard to open (like the green and beige one) use a small strip of ribbon and glue gun it to each side of the lid like shown. That's it. Fill and enjoy.
