We needed 3 colorguard outfits for a parade right away. My daughter and I consulted our copy of GenerationT and found a top and skirt that looked good. So we had a plan to make them out of T-shirts.
After a trip to the thrift store for the red and black shirts and a regular store for the whits we started cutting and sewing like mad. Here they are worn with black leggings and Chuck Taylors. (the shoes)
Whew! We even ended up making another two last week for two more girls.
Thanks for letting me share!! I love this site!!

They look amazing.
Are the skirts easy to move in?
They look like they might be a little uncomfortable if you're doing jazz runs and such.

Thoes are awesome!!!!! I always cringed when the colorguard came out because the costumes (and I do mean costumes!) were SO bad! These are simple and easy on the eyes, good job!

Thanks for the nice comments. They are holding up nicely so far after a few uses. We have to make a few more for some new girls.
To answer Jenyface's question, they're pretty stretchy, so they move

oops, i meant to say they move well with motion. They look tight, but they're not, really.
