  • Step 1

Cut the glitter paper to fit the oval and round pieces of glass. For the center, you can tint the white glitter paper with yellow ink.

  • Step 2

Cover the back of each piece of paper with the copper foil tape.

  • Step 3

Place the glass over the paper and wrap edges with the copper foil tape.

  • Step 4

Coat the back with flux, and melt solder to cover the back side of each piece. Solder the edges of each piece.

  • Step 5

Lay the soldered pieces facedown. Arrange the oval petals around
the center.

  • Step 6

Melt a small amount of solder where each oval glass makes contact with the round glass.

  • Step 7

Cut the ball chain to fit around the edge of the round glass. Start on one end of the ball chain, add flux, and hold in place with tweezers. Melt solder that’s already on the edge of the round glass, and tack the first ball of the chain in place. Lay the ball chain in place and solder again on the third ball over. Continue around until the ball chain is secure and the end of the ball chain is soldered into place.

  • Step 8

Center the pin back on the back of the finished piece. Flux and solder in place.
