Based on Heart and Doddle Board by HollyPolly - http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/hearts-doodle-drawing
I love how the backgrounds all drawn in that project but i know i wouldnt have the patience or the skill to recreate it and i had loads of old magazines kicking around so i used ripped pieces of writting instead.
1
First i draw the design of the coloured areas onto some coloured paper (Shouldnt have used permenant marker because it seeped though the paper but hey-ho call it a lesson ive learned)
Sort of wish id used to stars instead of hearts but hey whats done is done, i have more notepads so next time.....)
2
Cover the surface of the notebook in a thin layer of glue, prit-stick will do, it doesnt need to be strong. Place lots of pieces of ripped paper on the glue.
3
Put glue on the back of your coloured shapes and glue them ontop of the paper.
4
I then covered this in sticky back plastic that i bought from my local super market for about 50p a metre. This will protect your cover from peelin and general wear and tear. Just watch out for air bubbles.
5
This is it next to one of my other books ive done.
6
And the other side.
Hope you like =]
