This is quite a time consuming task. but the end product is something really personal, also i used pictures of the latest ipods etc so in the future it will almost be like a time capsule.

Get as many magazines as you can get your hands on!

Cut out all pictures that you like- also cut out interesting text
you can use pictures from the internet as well but the quality is usually better in magazines -

Sand down an old wooden chair

Get sticking!!!
This took me the best part of a year but probably could be done in about 3 days if you set your mind to it.
Don't worry too much about how to place things, you can always put more pictures on top if you don't like them -

varnish with as many layers you feel is necessary (i used 6) Also be careful which varnish you use as the varnish i used cause my pictures to get black spots on them in places
