  • Step 1

Collect all of the soda bottle caps from your recycling bin.

  • Step 2

Using a butter knife carefully pry out the plastic insert that is in the cap. These will make up your bracelets.Make sure to put the lids back in the recycling bin.

  • Step 3

With a knife or pair of scissors poke a slit in the center of the inserts.

  • Step 4

Carefully, stick your finger in the hole that you made and begin peeling the center out of the plastic. It should just peel away but if it does not, use your scissors to carefully cut out the thin part of the plastic. You need to keep the outer ring of thicker plastic.

  • Step 5

Now, place your fingers inside the ring and gently begin to stretch the ring. Be VERY gentle, otherwise it will break.

  • Step 6

Stretch until the ring fits over your hand and around your wrist. Make alot for a nice effect.

These remind me of high school. Half of our bracelets would just snap, it was always such a triumph when we managed to pry those things out w/ our fingernails and actually get a decent bracelet. Happy
