dainty paper snowflakes

I like to use coffee filters because they are thin and easier to fold and cut.
They look great in the window , hung with christmas lights or , if putting against a white background , you can delicately watercolor them.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Start by foldling filter in half....

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

....then fold it again and again...

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

and again until you have reached desired size. Then start cutting out shapes into the filter being sure to keep some of the folded edges intact on both sides ( if you dont you will end up with a bunch of triangle scraps)
When you are done unfold it gently. If you want it to fold out completely flat lightly mist it with water.
