Keep your coffee cups available and within easy reach.
Not enough cabinet room? Hang some things in a handy spot, like over the sink. I use this for coffee cups, which are in use all day long. You could also hang kitchen tools.

  • How to make a hook or rack. Coffee Is A Priority. - Step 1
    Step 1

Get a piece of 1 x 2 lumber stock and cut it to the desired length. They can cut it for you at the hardware store if you do not have a saw. This is inexpensive and you can even use a scrap piece from something else (that's what I did).

  • Step 2

Paint it and after it's dry screw in the cup hooks at 4 inch intervals.
Attach to the ceiling with screws or anchors. If using screws MAKE SURE you hit wood to secure it firmly. This will be supporting a few pounds of weight so make sure you have it up there to stay. Use one screw at least every 8 inches or so.

I have low ceilings. The under-cabinet thing would work great for the high-ceiling people. Part of my problem is lack of cabinet space.

Aww, my gramma did this under her cabinets, right next to the coffee pot! It's a great idea. :-D
