  • How to create lighting for photography. Clamshell Lighting - Step 1
    Step 1

    ok to create a clamshell lighting system you need two tungsten lights(or flash lighting)

    take one light and raise it so it looks down at your model

    the other light, should be positioned at the knees of the model, and pointed upwards

    both umbrellas should face each other

  • Step 2

    place the model about 1 foot from the lights and 1 foot from the backdrop

    also if possible get some one to hold a reflector
    (a simple diy reflector could be a peice of white bristol board)

    or prop one up on a easel
