1. 

   

   first gather your supplies
   Fabric, cardstock, rubber band, thread, needle...
   
   then double over your fabric
   
   and put the template on top

2. 

   

   cut around the template




3. 

   

   now keeping the two circles together, (like a sandwich)
   
   sew them together
   
   (like this)
   
   this is your finished base

4. 

   

   now we can work on the base petals
   
   take a long width of fabric (rectangular)
   
   and slowly gather the fabric into a fan shape
   
   thake this fan and sew it onto the base,
   
   




5. 

   

   repeat this stage until the base has been covered

6. 

   

   now we can work on the second layer of petals
   
   this is very simple, take a peice of contrasting fabric (rectangular in length) and roll it

7. 

   

   now stich these onto the base

8. 

   

   until it looks like this
   
   

9. 

   

   now with another peice of fabric make a rosette
   
   I just gathered the ends loosely and wrapped them(like a loose roll)
   
   I used a rubber band to keep the bottom end tight

10. 

    

    then using a needle with thread, I stiched the rosette into the middle of the flower.
    
    now you have your very own christmas flower
