Chocolate Dipped & Candied Tangerine Segments

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Peal the tangerines and separate the segments in to a bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Place the sugar in to a pan over a medium heat.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    After a few minutes the sugar will caramelize.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Remove the sugar from the heat and add the tangerine slices, making sure to cover each slice with sugar. Place the slices on wax paper and leave these to cool and harden.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Break the chocolate in to a measuring jug, place in a pan of boiling water and leave to melt.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Dip the tangerine slices in to the chocolate so that it covers half of the slice, place on wax paper and leave to dry. I covered half of my slices in milk chocolate and the over half in white chocolate, but you can do whatever you like.
