Yummy tacos for when you're HUNGRY NOW!!!
My roommate usually keeps a few cans of chicken around the house, and I was seriously hungry the night I concocted this. Quite tasty, and easy to make in no time!

**I'm sorry for the lack of photos for now, we recently ran out of canned chicken, haha. I hope the next trip I make to Sam's should fix this. :) Please tell e if the instructions were clear enough and/or anything else, and show me your versions! I'm super excited to see them!

***Also, some of the ingredients I originally posted disappeared, but everything you'll really need food-wise should be listed. :) Comment or message me if you have any questions.

  • Step 1

First, you get out your favorite frying pan and set it on the stove for medium/medium low heat. You don't want the chicken to get burned, this part is just for heat. This is also where the oil comes in; just a little to coat the pan is all you'll need. (I use olive oil or pan coating spray, but any is fine.)

  • Step 2

Next, open the can of chicken and drain some of the liquid. You want maybe a little, but not too much because you'll be adding the salsa in a minute.

  • Step 3

Now you'll want to add the chicken to the pan. Since the meat is already cooked, all you have to do for this step is make sure to smash the chunks, almost like you're trying to create shredded chicken.

  • Step 4

Next, while the chicken is getting warm, add your favorite salsa(s) and other seasonings. I like to mix some of my green salsa with some chunky red salsa we had leftover in the fridge, and I eat garlic pepper on practically everything. The cumin adds a nice flavor to the mix as well.

  • Step 5

Mix the pan stuffs completely and let the mix simmer for a little bit. This gets the flavors to incorporate into the chicken, kinda like your own spicy chicken. :)

  • Step 6

If you like your tortillas warm, just pop them into the microwave for about twenty seconds or until they're warm but not too hot to touch.

  • Step 7

After a few minutes of letting the mix simmer, spoon a little into the tortillas and you're done! (The mixture can four to eight small tacos, depending on the portion sized mix used.)
Just add cheese, lettuce, extra salsa, guacamole, whatever suits your fancy. Enjoy!
