Some days I freak out from boredom and have to do something creative! This was one of those days. I started with a basic plait on my boyfriend's lovely long hair (three strands, take turns putting the outside ones into the middle until it's all done) and then sewed chains and buttons and charms into it with a needle and thread. You could do something similar to put pom poms or bows into random places in your hair ^__^

First - I love the idea and I'm totally doing that to my next braids.
Second - Your boyfriend let you do that to his hair?! Do NOT let this one go! He's a total keeper!!

Haha that's pretty cool. My friend who has dreads has got little tea cups and peace symbols sewn into her hair. I wish mine was still long enough for that..

Just pretend that the plait is a piece of material and decorate it! Good luck! x

Maybe it's easier if you knot all the stuff to a long piece of wool and braid this into the hair from the start? Just a guess.
I like that it looks soooooo ethno! :)

This is your boyfriend's hair? Sweet...My boyfriend's hair is about to his shoulders and he lets me braid his... I want to try this on mine, but I'm afraid I would lose the charms or they would get caught. ow...
