Using a vintage chandelier crystal, this pendant necklace has plenty of simple elegance.

You Will Need

    Step 1

    Chandelier crystal
    Wire clippers
    Round nose pliers (exact type not pictured, I was making do with my dad's tools while home for Thanksgiving)
    Long gold chain-- I went with about 28 inches.
    Beading wire

    Clip off any old wire from the crystal.

    Cut a long piece of beading wire (at least 12 inches). (1) Slide wire a few inches through the hole in crystal, and bend up both ends of the wire. (2) Using pliers twist both wires together. (3) Fold short end of wire into loop, and twist excess around first twist. (4) Begin wrapping the long end of the wire around the twists, and down around the crystal. (5) Once you get near the hole in the crystal, clip the wire and bend into a right angle. (6) Tuck bent end of wire into the crystal's hole.

    Using the pliers, open up one of the end links on the chain. Add pendant and link on other end of chain to the link and close with the pliers, making a continuous chain.
