Make these delicious-smelling sugar scrub bars with ingredients you already have in your pantry!
In my opinion, the best beauty products are the ones you can make from stuff you already have in your kitchen. Like these chai sugar scrub bars made with coconut oil (my go-to DIY beauty staple).

The sugar in these bars gently exfoliates, the coconut oil moisturizes, and the caffeine in the chai tea helps fight cellulite (plus it smells amazing).

You Will Need

  • How to make a sugar scrub. Chai Sugar Scrub Bars - Step 1
    Step 1

Mix 1 cup muscovado sugar (for a gentler scrub, swap in white sugar), 1/4 cup brown sugar, and the contents of 6 chai tea bags.

  • Step 2

Add 1 tbsp vanilla, 2 tbsp honey, and 1/2 c melted coconut oil (it should be liquid-y but not hot, since you don’t want the sugar to melt – I microwaved mine for about 45 seconds, then waited a couple of minutes for it to cool).

    Step 3

Scoop the mixture into silicone ice molds and set in the freezer for at least fifteen minutes.

    Step 4

Unmold your sugar scrub bars, and you’re all set!

Made these tonight for some christmas pressies and they turned out great! Super easy to make and leave your skin really soft. Had no muscavado in the cupboard so used Demerara and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the recipe! X
